Journal week 9: Heroism - what are your thoughts?

This week, we talked about several peace activists who are widely thought of as heroes. You also told me who you think of as a hero in Korea. Now, I'd like to hear you tell me about who your personal heroes are, if you have any. Who do you admire? Why do you admire them? What did they say or do? Use your vocabulary (p. 80/85) and practice this week's grammar point (p. 83/88) to tell me about your heroes.

    I admire Sejong the Great King. that is, my hero is Sejong the Great King. Sejong was the third son of King Taejong. When he was twelve, he became Grand Prince Chungnyeong. The most reason why I respect is made Hangul. Also, Sejong was an effective military planner. He was a great leader.

    I respect ki-Moon Ban. He is the secretary general of United Nation. The reason why I respect, He volunteer a lot, and he's take office is the chance that blow the Korea all over the world. He work for reduce green house effect. Also, He worried starved people in Africa. He deserved respect.

    I respect Soon sin Lee general. He is one of the great general. one of his achievements is very famous. That is what he made an ironclad warship shaped like a turtle. That is the first ironclad warship in the world. And There was an unbroken series of victories twenty three times for his army .

    My hero is kwan-soon Yoo. she is national liberation movement person. she was fought for our country and participated in 3.1 protest. This campaign, called 3.1 Protest, is a people's action that united a large number of anonymous people as one body which raised, owing to wills of people that rooted deep for independence in their mind at that point of time. Ryu, now named Jean of Arch in Korea, went to her homwtown, as a student of Ewha School at the age of 16 and led a protest of thousands of people. she passed away due to such endless cruel tortures and malnutrition in prison.

    Yu gwan-sun is my hero. The reason why I respect, She has participated in the protest that took place on 1st March in 1919 in Seoul at the age of 16. and she received a lot of torture. But she She yelled "Daehan Dokrip Manse" to the end. If I was in that situation, I have been hiding somewhere.

    The most heroic person in my life is my father. He encourages me to go through those tough times.He calms me down with respectable voice when Im over excited. He is the one who would let the school know that Im sick, He would fix my mistake and lead me to the correct pathway to prevent me from repeating the same mistake. These are the reason why I can proudly say my old man's a hero.

    I think, Oprah Gail Winfrey is hero. She was very poor childhood. But, She was overcome.
    She was self-help harpo an exhibition. Big hit The Oprah Winfrey show in harpo. She was choice the influencing power of the female world in UN. She is really knowing other people of detress and pain.

    My mother is best hero. she was born 1962. she married twenty-four and give birth to ma and my brother. after that, she was live to me and my brother. she also did not know to sick, laborious, concentration of mind to we brought up. she is brave and strong. we raise alne strength. she said, "you and your brother is my all life." she is forever my hero.

    I think, hero is Sin Sa Im Dang. she is Chosun woman. she is Yul Gok Lee's mather. she is a wise mother and good wife. she's maternal affection is great! because I admire Sin Sa Im Dang. and she is writer. she is writing script and poem. she is painter. she's painting ability is good. this month, 5 ten thousand won hero is Sin Sa Im Dang.

    My hero is William H. Gates. He is best person in programming. I admire him. Because my dream is programmer. He is top of Microsoft and millionaire. He always do good thing. For example, he contribute in so many social service organization. we may think if we are him, we want use that money, but he didn't do that. That way I like him.

    my hero i think is all person who give to me a teaching.If you give to me a teaching, That person is just you.My hero have not super power and have not significant work. Only when I see them, I'll learn to instructoin. then they is my heros. You can my hero, too.

    my hero is Admiral Sunsin Lee. he make turtle ship. he gain a victory from an enemy . he researched an enemy. so who win every battle.
    his small fleer fight back a japanese big fleer.
    General Sunsin Lee made history.
