...or when Namdaemun burned down?
Such events don't happen often, but when they do, it's hard to forget how they make us feel. I remember very clearly where I was when the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster happened, when the 9/11 attacks happened, and when Barack Obama became the US president.
Sometimes such big events bring people together. This week, many of us came together to watch the final game between Korea and Japan in the World Baseball Classic.
This week, I want you to write fifty words telling me about how you felt watching big events such as these unfold before your eyes. I look forward to reading your stories.

I can remember where I was when the DAEGU SUBWAY TRAGIC DEATH. at that time, I was in the home. because of the opening of a my school. I got up lately, and turn on the TV. then I was very very surprised. One person was set subway on fire, so many people was passed away. The suspect was handicapped person, in his 50s. After fire breaked out, electricity was turned off and subway was stopped. so many people don't found a gateway. As it happens, subway that was went to opposite way, also fire breaked out. so damage scale is big. unfortunately, many people doesn't knew ejected from a subway on fire. So they don't went to outside and was not long for this world. I don't knew people that lived in DAEGU, but I was sad and miserable.

ReplyDeleteoccasionally watching WorldCup game. But sometimes academy president display WorldCup game. that time is very excited. Korea all nation is support Korea Soccer Team. and Korea Soccer Team is make miracle. They penetration semi-finals. I Until present, I can not forget
impression in that times.
Yesterday, yeon-a KIM, figer skater was win in ISU. she got 76.12point. That is a new record in the world. so It is proved that she is best women in icelink. when i got that news, i felt so proud and happy. Actually we have icelink not much but she did pratice in gym everytimes. I can guess how she did pratice so hard. I wanna be a men like her.
ReplyDeletethese thays, WBC ; World Baseball Classic final game is open. i watch them in SCH with friends. in 9 inning, japan's score was 3 and korea's score 2.if in that time last player did'nt strike the ball korea team lose. but fortunatly the last player's name is Lee Bum Ho, striked the ball! and score is same! we shouted! wow! wow! also i shouted! so happy. but an extra inning game.. we losed.. Korea losed.. many people so inconvenient. also me too. but we have next time. that time, we must win.
ReplyDeleteOne years ago, the Beijing 2008 Olympic open. That time, korean baseball team advanced final round. I saw watching final baseball game on TV with family. This game is very exiting. Korea vs Usa game. This game was a hard fight. 2-1 and 3-3 and 6-3 and 6-5.....revers the game 7-6 ..finally once more revers the game 8-7!!. Myfamily give a shout of joy and hug each other.

Today When I wake up, I sew amazing an event in E-NEWS. That content is it Kim set new untouchable record in International Skakting Union(ISU) World Figure Skating Championships in Los Angeles.
ReplyDeleteAlso that points is 76.12, no less, at the short program. It's Unbelievalbe points! The record is renewed Only to Korean(Yu-Na Kim) in three times! I don't close the mouth for a time.
every time I have sewn her program and each time I excited. But today's program was best program.
I proud the fact that I'm Korean! I love Yu-Na Kim!
One year ago, the South Gate of seoul was burn by some man. I hope a lie out of whole cloth to situation. the Republic of Korea' a national treasure was burn, because of the government didn't guard that someone come into South Gate, and they didn't commend to broke because stop for fire. perhaps they didn't want to has liability. A finale the South Gate went down by one man and the government.

And i was'nt want to twine by Japan. Maybe They ridicule that situation. because if Japan happen this situation, i do.
In those 2004 SydneyOlympics, women's handball didn't get much expectation. But they had been winning game after game giving us impression, and eventually women's handball gets much popularity from the public now. They didn't get a gold medal, but they presented us a silver medal which was more touching. In the last scene, an interview with the couch is shown, but then it was very sad. I got much interested in a sport called a handball game of Korea.

Like before the big test, I had butterflies in my stomachShe. she didn`t make any mistake. So she got 76.12 point. It`s a new world record. After this World Figure Skating Championships, I am very proud of `Yeon-a Kim`.
ReplyDeleteToday is a impressive day.because Kim Yu-na gave Korea its first title at the world figure skating championships.she finished with a record 207.71 points.It`s a new world record.also She was more than 16 points ahead of Canada, and beat main rival Mao Asada of Japan by almost 20. she made a deep impression on the audience.Every audience give a standing ovation.I'm moved to tears.today I proud of I'm Korean I love Kim Yu-na and Korea

During the 2002 world cup tournament, we became one in the name of soccer.
ReplyDeleteEverybody wore "Be the reds" t-shirts on the days Korean national team played, and we(me and my friends) became one all shouting 'Dae Han Min Gook!'as we cheered out on the streets.
We hugged strangers when we scored and we were so happy.
Citizens wear red dress all over the country and came in flocks to main road whenever there is Korea's game.
red is color that symbolize Korean's pride and passion.
The Korea is the country that is hard to find although on map in the small country, but World Cup period world the carrying what bigger passion show .
Hot open of now that time that 7 years pass is hard to find, but want to pray this seat and feel sentiment of that time again.
I can't forget this event in my life. That is 2008 Beijing olympic in China. Unfortunately I was in the High school third grade, so I was trying for the chance on the college entrance exam. So I didn't enjoy olympic well. But I saw the final matche for baseball game. It was Korea VS Cuba. It was very interesting game, and we are win the game! We got gold medal. It was very HOT issue in the whole world. I impressed this baseball game, I have interest in baseball since.
ReplyDelete2002 world cup, I went to incheon Munhak stadium. korea with Portugal game. I direct contact soccer play. The opening part ji sung Park player is firt goal, evey Korean peole is shout and glad a pear spill. Everyone very happy. and When ji sung Park runnig hug to Hiddink I felt very strong impression. I was forget a game.

Park Tae Hwan athlete won a gold medal in this swimming 400 meters race. and In weight lifting sporting event, Jang Mi Ran athlete got gold medal. I was impressed. most rememberly event is baseball game. I saw watching final baseball game on TV. It was Korea versus Cuba tournament. result was 3:2 point. Our team won! Korea got a gold medal. Beijing Olympic was very interesting.
